Owners Dr. Mark McGeough Dr. McGeough is co-owner of the clinic. He is a 1998 graduate of North Carolina State of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at St. Lawrence University. He also owns Birkdale Animal Hospital in Huntersville. He is also on the board of directors of the Humane Society of Cabarrus County. Dr McGeough and his wife Sarah, also a veterinarian, have three children, a dog, and cats. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Jenny Artman Dr. Artman is co-owner of the clinic. She is originally from Scituate, Massachusetts. She graduated from Davidson College with a B.S. in Chemistry. She completed her veterinary degree at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Since 2000 she has worked at South Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She is also on the board of directors of the Humane Society of Cabarrus County. She has Sebastian, a Rottweiler; and 6 DSH cats, Domino, April, Sylvester, Eddie, Stretch, and Newton. Veterinarians Dr. Robert Messenger Dr. Messenger is originally from Charlotte. He received is undergraduate and DVM degree from Ohio State University. He graduated in 1974. His main interests are emergency medicine and critical care. He works full time at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Huntersville. He is married and has a son and daughter. His daughter recently received a DVM degree. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dr Aaron Luckey Dr. Luckey is originally from Indiana. He has lived in Charlotte for the last 7years. He has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Findlay in Ohio. He received his DVM degree from the University of Tennessee. He has been working for us since July 2005. He works full-time at Monroe Animal Hospital. He has 5 dogs; 2 Pit Bulls; Porkchop (Pictured) and Buttercup, 2 Yorkies; Elton and Gavin, and a Pekingese, Versace. He also has 4 cats; Shadow, Kayenta, Vanity, and Bobo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Kathryn Herbst Dr. Herbst was born and raised within the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at Albion College in Albion, Michigan. Her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was earned at Michigan State University in East Lansing. She graduated in 2004. Shortly after graduating from MSU she moved to Charlotte. She works as a relief Veterinarian for the Charlotte area. She has a cat named Max. Picture and bio Coming soon Dr. Joanna Gelfman   Office Manager/Veterinary Technician Meredith DeRidder, RVT She Is originally from Ithaca, New York. She lived in Rochester, NY, Wilmington, Charlotte, and Kannapolis, NC. She has been in NC for 6 years. She has an A.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology from the State University of New York at Delhi. She also has a B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University. She has been a Veterinary Technician for 14 years. She worked at Concord Animal Clinic for 2 years and started with us in 2005. She has 4 dogs: Makayla, Mackenzie, Mercedes, and Dakota. 16 cats: Bailey's Irish Cream, Bicardi, Molson, Tequila, Tanqueray, Sambuca, Sangria, Absinthe, Malibu, Yukon Jack, Jasmine Hennessey, Midori Belle, Zinnie, Rattie, Gunner, and Sabrina. 3 Rabbits: Snickers, Josephine, and Rorie. She moved to Concord with her parents in June 1995. She has a certificate in Animal Health Care. She worked at Concord Animal Clinic, with Dr. Stewart Roberts for 5 years. She worked at South Ridge Veterinary Clinic for 3 years, then at Concord Animal Clinic with Dr. McGeough for 2 years. She started with us in July 2005. She has lived in Concord most of her life. She worked at Concord Animal Hospital for 3 years. She has been with us full time since October 2007.
